Free Starbucks Pastry with Drink Purchase on Mar 23

Yum... Stop by Starbucks this Tuesday, March 23 before 10:30 a.m. and you'll get a free pastry with any beverage purchase with the coupon that you can get here. Kudos to Starbucks by the way for offering gluten free snacks at the drive through. More kudos when they offer a couple of gluten free pastries though! Those of you that know me know that I'm a big fan of Starbucks pumkin loaf, gingerbread loaf and lemon loaf, but I've had to switch to gluten free for health reasons. Maybe I'll try to make the loaves with my gluten free flour...

On that note... I was at Publix today and picked up a box of Betty Crocker gluten free chocolate chip cookie mix. It was right next to a box of Betty Crocker chocolate cake mix and another mix that I don't recall. Of course, I know that I can use my Bob's Red Mill gluten free all purpose flour in many of my regular recipes, but it was nice to know that I could pick up a box for the sake of convenience every so often. The great thing about Betty Crocker gluten free mixes is that coupons for the mixes are readily available. I used one of my 40c coupons, which doubled at Publix to get 80c off the box. The mixes retail for $3.99 at Publix which of course is more than coventional mixes, but it's understandable since the ingredients are also a lot more expensive. Having said that, it's cheaper than other gluten-free cookie and cake mixes on the market. Grab your coupon here.

50c for All Laundry Detergent

Thanks to Centsible Sawyer for posting this one...Starting today (1/17)at Big Lots, All Laundry Detergent will be on sale 2/$5. There are coupons available from the 01/03 Red Plum insert for $2/1 detergent 32 oz or higher. Don't have a Big Lots close by? Walmart and Target both price match so using this coupon will get you laundry detergent for 50 cents a bottle! Just go to the Big Lots site to print out the weekly ad if you're planning on doing the price matching.
Update - It turns out that Big Lots does not accept coupons. I will take the flyer to Target or Walmart to see if they'll price match it instead.

I also have a coupon on my coupons.com site for $1 off any bottle of All, so you can get an additional bottle or two for $1.50 each. (By the way, there are some other great coupons on there this week - Good Earth tea, high value coupons for Huggies diapers and wipes, Weight Watchers cheese, Scott toilet paper, Dannon yogurt and more...)

Sunglasses - 10 Pairs for $9.99

Anyone that knows me well knows that I like to purchase multiple pairs of sunglasses at the same time as I have a habit of losing them. That way, I have one pair on my face and extra pairs in my handbag, glove compartment, side of my car door, etc. (now that I think about it -- where are my glasses?). I know that the most frugal way would be to actually keep track of them, but well... life happens and I'm not a happy camper on a bright day without my sunglasses! Here's a deal I love - get 10 pairs of sunglasses (mens or womens) for merely $9.99! Granted, it's 10 assorted pairs and you don't get to chose, but hey, when you just need an extra pair or two, it's a great deal... If all else fails, go in on this deal with a friend. Either that, or you'll find a handful of glasses that will suit you and you can donate the rest to a worthy cause. Shipping will run you $5.99, so it works out to about $1.60 a pair. Not too shabby!

Got Free Milk?

From now until Feb 8, 2010, you can enter to win a year's worth of free milk courtesy of the California Milk Processor Board. Just for signing up to win, you'll get a coupon that is good for free milk with purchase. This is an interesting promotion, because when I signed up this morning, I got a coupon for a free half gallon of chocolate milk (any brand) with the purchase of two gallons of white milk. This afternoon, I noticed that Centsible Sawyer got a couple of other coupons too, so there's a possibility that they're switching around the coupons. Either way, after you enter the promo, you'll either get notification that you won, or the screen will say "Sorry...". At that point, don't log out. Be sure to click on the small white "get my coupon" button to print your coupon. After it's printed, hit the back button a couple of times. I was able to print three coupons. You can enter for the free milk for a year drawing once a day. Have fun!

60% Off at Old Navy - Stock Up for Fall/Winter 2010

Old Navy is having an amazing sale right now, so now is the perfect time to stock up for colder weather next year. It takes planning, but your wallet will thank you next year!
This is what I found this morning... For boys, I found long sleeve t's for $4.99, mock neck pullovers for $5.99, and pique polos for $6.99 (if your child has to wear a uniform to school - you'll notice that they have uniform colors and you know how hard it is to find the appropriate blue and navy tops on sale right before school starts!). They also have some really cute mock neck sweaters for $8.99 that will keep your little guy looking dapper all winter (usually $24.50) and fleece coats for only $14.99. For girls, there are some great sparkle t's for $4.99. For men (keep in mind that they stock sizes up to XXXL), you'll find boxers for $2.99, sweater vests for $11.49 and cable knit sweaters for $12.99. In the women's section, you'll find a variety of tops for around $5.99 and dresses in the $5.99-$12.99 range. Hats for the entire family will run you $1.99.
When you shop online, always be sure to check sites like Retail Me Not to see if you can get further discounts, free shipping, etc. with coupon codes. I just saw some for Old Navy featuring 10% off for cardmembers on Tuesday (that's today!), $10 off any purchase of $50 or more etc. Sometimes you have to enter in several coupon codes to find one that will work, but it's well worth the try.

50% Off Sale at Children's Place

Children's Place is having a 50% off sale on their already reduced merchandise (in stores only). So if you need to grab a couple of extra pieces to make it through winter, you might want to go down and take a look at the racks (the sale started on 12/19). I love Children's Place clothing because the garments are well made and they still look good even after you've passed them down a couple of times!

Free Shipping Day - Thurs 12/17

Thanks to Northern Cheapskate for this post...

Today is Free Shipping Day, when more than 670 online merchants will offer customers free shipping with guaranteed delivery by Christmas Eve.Participating online retailers include JcPenney, LandsEnd, Toys 'R' Us, and many more. You can also see an extensive list of holiday ordering deadlines for more than 250 stores at FreeShippingDay.comThe idea for Free Shipping Day came from Luke Knowles, the founder of FreeShipping.org. It's a neat idea because shoppers are rewarded with free shipping for doing their last minute Christmas shopping online, and retailers have the chance to boost their holiday sales.I personally try not to do online shopping without first consulting FreeShipping.org for the latest codes for free shipping. It can definitely save you some money. And just because you've waited until the last minute does mean you can't try to save some dough. Be sure to sign up for Ebates and earn cash back on your purchases. It's free to join and they'll give you a $5 bonus after you make your first purchase or you can try out one of their awesome daily deals that are exclusive to new members.
