Free Ice Cream at Coldstone on 9/24/09

Make a Wish Foundation of Oregon has disclosed the official date of Coldstone Creamery's 8th Annual World's Largest Ice Cream Social as September 24, 2009. The event is held each year and free ice cream is given out to patrons. The purpose of the ice cream social is to raise funds by means of donations to the Make a Wish Foundation in order to grant the wishes of children with life-threatening medical conditions. Go ahead and enjoy the free ice cream, but be sure to donate to Make a Wish if you can to this worthy cause.

Progress Coffee isn't charging for anything on their menu today. You are however encouraged to make donations and 100% of donations will benefit the Bread for the World and/or Capital Area Food Bank. This is what Progress has to say about this: “Any amount (or no amount) is fine, whatever you’re comfortable with a penny, a buck, a hundred bucks- cash, credit, check or change Progress will take it and donate it all. And if you can’t or just don’t want to contribute, no worries—it’s certainly not a requirement (and nobody will look at you funny). Free Coldstone Ice Cream

I Twittered about free ice cream this weekend at Carvel and to my surprise, the place was empty! We all enjoyed our free ice cream and a couple of 59c cones and had the place to ourselves. This week, on September 25th, get free ice cream at Coldstone - I posted about this here.

Free Ice Cream at Cold Stone Creamery on September 25

Head to Cold Stone Creamery on September 25th between 5-8pm for their annual free Cold Stone Creamery World's Largest Ice Cream Social. This is a nationwide event to benefit the Make a Wish Foundation. Customers will receive a free 3 oz. serving of either Wish Child Emily (Nutter Butter ice cream with yellow cake, Kit Kat, and white chocolate chips) or Wish Child Jack's creation (marshmallow ice cream Oreo cookies, chocolate chips and fudge). If you choose to make a donation, it will benefit the Make-A-Wish Foundation. Also, be sure to sign up on the Cold Stone Creamery website. They will send you a coupon for a totally free "Love it" size icecream on your birthday.
